3rd April 25 - During the 1960's the Americans were short of troops so they reduced the entry requirements. This means poor people, blacks and Latinos. Project 100,000 was known as McNamaras Morons after the perceived low IQ of the troops and Minister in charge of the programme. This was an absolute disaster as untrained troops dropped like flies.
