Donoald Trump -I think everyone, even those who in the past have supported him, with the exception of the labotomised MAGA supporters and the Reform Gammonista in the UK are coming to the conclusion that Trump is an industrial scale wankspanner. He’s put Europe on edge to the point where it looks like NATO is finished and the EU is looking for other markets so it doesn’t have to trade with the US. I would be really pissed off if I was a Democrat in the US as the is dismantling it piece by piece with his pet Uberturd, Musk – so much so that no one is really sure who’s pulling who’s strings. One thing is for sure – Trump is an excellent businessman – we know this because the tangerine shitgibbon tells us at every opportunity. Only of course he isn’t – his life is a string of expensive failures that have left everyone, except him it seems, out of pocket. Except for his ex-wives. It’s time to have a chat about this shitstain of a man, a man who has built his political career on bravado, lies, and a series of financial catastrophes that are impossible to ignore. From bankrupt businesses to questionable legal tactics, Trump’s legacy is one of exploitation, manipulation, and a ruthless pursuit of self-interest. As the world watches his rhetoric surrounding Ukraine, and hope against hope that Zelenskyy tells him to fuck off with his mineral deal, it’s becoming abundantly clear that we need to pay closer attention to how he is once again using smoke and mirrors to further his own goals, this time, at the expense of global stability.
Trump’s track record is which is littered with failed business ventures that left creditors, employees, and partners holding the bag. From bankrupt casinos in Atlantic City to a defunct vodka brand, Trump’s companies have filed for bankruptcy not once, not twice, but six times. These weren’t personal bankruptcies but corporate ones, leaving Trump free to walk away without personal financial loss while those around him suffered. His businesses lost billions, but Trump walked away with his name intact, always able to blame everyone but himself. A quality, if that’s what you could call it, that he continues to use to this day. Trump Taj Mahal casino filed for bankruptcy in 1991 after losing $1 billion. Trump was forced to give up control of the casino, but his brand remained. This is a because despite repeated failures, Trump manages to retain his public image as a successful businessman. It's classic snake oil salesmanship, present a shiny surface while the core of the business crumbles beneath it. How bad a businessman do you have to be to fuck up a casino?
Trump’s financial failures didn’t just stop at his companies. He’s also had to settle major legal issues, including paying out $25 million to victims of his fraudulent Trump University. This “university,” which promised students a road map to wealth, turned out to be nothing more than a scam. Trump’s personal life reflects the same pattern of self-interest and disregard for the people around him. His two highly public divorces, first to Ivana Trump and later to Marla Maples, resulted in settlements that totaled millions. Ivana received a $14 million settlement after their divorce in 1992, while Marla took home around $2 million in 1999. These settlements weren’t just about money; they were about power. Trump’s wealth has always been a tool for maintaining control, whether it’s in his personal relationships or his business dealings. We’re seeing now that the ugly brashness, bravado and self opionated bullshit that Trump surrounds himself with is both immoral and amoral. It’s also dangerous. It’s concerning that the most dangerous part of Trump’s persona is the way he manipulates global politics to serve his own ends. As the world continues to watch the crisis in Ukraine unfold, Trump’s rhetoric on the war has grown more and more troubling. His constant downplaying of Russian aggression and flirtation with Putin has not only emboldened one of the world’s most dangerous authoritarian figures but also left Ukraine’s fight for survival vulnerable to Trump’s shifting priorities. I’ve covered elsewhere how Trump is a known to be a Russian asset.
In his recent public statements, Trump has suggested that he could negotiate with Vladimir Putin in a way that “ends the war quickly.” He’s even gone so far as to question U.S. involvement in supporting Ukraine, framing it as a drain on American resources. This is more than just political positioning, it’s a dangerous game of geopolitics, played by a man whose understanding of diplomacy is as shallow as his understanding of economics. What Trump doesn’t understand, or perhaps what he chooses to ignore, is that his flip-flopping stance is a form of bullying: bullying the Ukrainian people, bullying NATO, and bullying the very democratic principles the United States claims to stand for. And nobody, certainly nobody this side of the pond, likes a bully. Trump is acting as though the world is a business deal to be made, a real estate deal where he has to come out on top, with absolutely no regard for the human cost. This isn’t leadership. It’s industrial scale opportunism. The world needs a steady hand to navigate these difficult times, not a man who seeks to exploit every crisis for personal gain. And while we are looking at this the man is an out and out crook. Trump’s business dealings have often walked a fine line between shrewd and shady. The Trump Organization was convicted of tax fraud in 2022, further cementing his image as a man who sees rules as suggestions, and ethics as irrelevant. He’s used his position to dodge taxes and manipulate the system, all while building his wealth at the expense of others.
His criminal misdeeds don't stop there. Trump has been the subject of multiple investigations, from the Mueller Report on Russian interference in the 2016 election, to charges related to hush-money payments, to his role in inciting the January 6th Capitol insurrection. These investigations have revealed a pattern of obstruction, lies, and attempts to undermine the rule of law, all in the name of self-preservation. Trump has never been a man to shy away from using the legal system for his own benefit. His constant threats of litigation and his reliance on wealthy lawyers to shield him from accountability reflect the way he views the law: as another control tool.
Trump is a textbook example of a snake oil salesman. Someone that peddles false promises to line his own pockets, while the people he claims to serve bear the brunt of his failures. His entire career has been built on presenting himself as a winner, while behind the scenes, he’s been a walking disaster. And as he continues to bully Ukraine on the global stage, it’s crucial that we recognise the stakes of his actions. This is no longer just about a man who uses fraud and manipulation to gain power, this is about a man who is willing to play politics with human lives for his own political gain.
The main problem with this is his bravado is writing cheques his ability can't cash. And he is playing with the big boys who are playing him like the pound shop plastic toy fiddle he is. Some say he is playing 4d chess. I'm more reminded of the analergy of thepigeon playing chess. You can make your best moves but the pigeon will only strut around , kick over the pieces and shit on the board. That pigeon is Donald Trump.
I love the tinterweb. With a little effort you can find everything you need these days. So here’s a list of all the business failures, criminal investigations, indictments and personal failures from the self-styled greatest businessman in the world: Businesses that filed for bankruptcy:
Trump Taj Mahal (Atlantic City, NJ) Year: 1991 Estimated Losses: $1 billion
Details: This casino was one of Trump’s biggest projects in Atlantic City but faced massive financial problems from the outset. It filed for bankruptcy after an overwhelming debt burden. Trump was forced to give up a large share of ownership.
Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino (Atlantic City, NJ) Year: 1992 Estimated Losses: $550 million
Details: This casino also struggled with debt and poor performance. Trump used a significant portion of his own money to keep the business afloat, but eventually, it filed for bankruptcy.
Trump Castle (Atlantic City, NJ) Year: 1992 Estimated Losses: $350 million
Details: Like the other Atlantic City ventures, Trump Castle struggled with debt and underperformance, leading to bankruptcy.
Trump Hotels and Casino Resorts (Atlantic City, NJ) Year: 2004 Estimated Losses: $1.8 billion
Details: This company filed for bankruptcy after a series of debt-laden casinos underperformed. Trump ceded control, but remained involved in the brand.
Trump Entertainment Resorts (Atlantic City, NJ) Year: 2009 Estimated Losses: $1.5 billion

Trump Steaks Year: 2007 Estimated Losses: Unknown (but the business failed)

Trump University Year: 2010 (though it was not a bankruptcy in the formal sense) Estimated Losses: The company settled for $25 million

Trump Vodka Year: 2006-2009 Estimated Losses: Unknown (but the brand folded after poor sales)
Details: Trump launched a vodka brand that struggled to compete in a crowded market and ultimately folded.
Divorce Settlements
Donald Trump has been divorced twice, and the settlements were high-profile due to the nature of his wealth and public status. For obvious reasons this doesn’t include any secret alimony deals with women who he’s allegedly fathered children with.
Ivana Trump (Divorced in 1992) Settlement: Approximately $14 million
Details: The divorce settlement included cash, property, and a substantial child support arrangement for their three children. Ivana was also given ownership of some of their jointly owned properties.
Marla Maples (Divorced in 1999) Settlement: Estimated at $2 million
Details: Marla received a lump sum of around $2 million, as well as child support for their daughter, Tiffany. This settlement was much lower compared to Ivana’s, reflecting Trump's shifting financial situation at the time.
Criminal Cases, Indictments, and Convictions
Donald Trump has been involved in numerous legal issues, including criminal investigations and lawsuits. He has faced several criminal charges and indictments:
Trump University Fraud Case (2016)
Details: In 2016, Trump settled a class-action lawsuit for $25 million after accusations of fraud related to Trump University. While the settlement was not an admission of guilt, it was seen as a significant legal defeat.
Russian Interference Investigation (Mueller Investigation, 2017-2019)
Details: Special Counsel Robert Mueller investigated Russian interference in the 2016 election and whether Trump's campaign colluded with Russia. The investigation found numerous contacts between Trump’s campaign and Russian operatives, but did not establish direct criminal conspiracy. Mueller left open the question of whether Trump obstructed justice.
Hush Money Payments (2016)
Details: Trump’s role in arranging payments to Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal during the 2016 election campaign was the subject of criminal investigations. Prosecutors in Manhattan charged Michael Cohen, Trump’s former lawyer, who pled guilty to campaign finance violations related to these payments.
The Capitol Riot (2021)
Details: Trump faced multiple investigations related to the January 6 Capitol riot, including potential charges of inciting an insurrection or obstructing Congress’ certification of the 2020 election results. As of 2023, these investigations were ongoing.
New York State Criminal Investigation (2022)
Details: The Manhattan District Attorney launched an investigation into Trump’s business practices, including allegations of tax fraud and financial misconduct. In 2023, Trump was indicted on charges related to falsifying business records to hide payments and other financial misdeeds.
Manhattan District Attorney’s Office (2023)
Trump was indicted on charges related to the Stormy Daniels hush-money payments, alleging campaign finance violations.
New York Attorney General's Civil Lawsuit (2022)
While not a criminal case, the New York AG filed a civil lawsuit alleging Trump and his company inflated asset values for financial gain, and sought $250 million in damages.
Vicarious Link to Crimes and Business Failures
Trump has been linked to various other controversies and criminal cases through his business dealings, associates, and conduct:
Michael Cohen (Former Lawyer and Fixer) Cohen pled guilty to multiple charges, including campaign finance violations tied to the hush money payments, lying to Congress, and tax evasion. He implicated Trump in these actions, although Trump himself has not been convicted of these specific crimes.
The Trump Organization (Fraud and Tax Evasion) In 2022, the Trump Organization was found guilty of tax fraud in New York, including schemes to avoid paying taxes on employee perks and compensations. While Trump himself was not convicted, the company was heavily penalized. Associates and Criminal Links Several of Trump’s associates, including his former campaign manager Paul Manafort, advisor Roger Stone, and others, have been convicted or implicated in crimes ranging from financial crimes to obstruction of justice.
Trump’s business failures include multiple bankruptcies of casinos and other ventures, leading to billions of dollars in losses. His divorce settlements were substantial, with his first wife Ivana receiving around $14 million. Trump has faced numerous criminal investigations, including accusations related to the 2016 election, hush money payments, and the Capitol riot.
Add to this Trump and his associates have been linked to a variety of criminal activities. One thing this list does show is without any shred of a doubt with what an utter POS this man is. He doesn't just throw people under bus: he drives the bus and reverses it over them several times. Thinking about it, is not surprising he went into politics.
No doubt this list will grow, if he doesn’t shuffle off his tiny fingered mortal coil first as a result of eating too many burgers, or If a disgruntled MAGA voter doesn’t invoke their 2nd amendment rights. Of course, this list doesn’t include being the only President to be impeached twice and the only President to have a criminal record before taking office. Donald Trump is singularly the most ill-equipped person to hold the high office of President of the United States. Personally, I wouldn’t give him more responsibility over people than collecting crayons in after class. He’d probably only eat them anyway.
So, we really need to talk about Donald? And we need to talk about the danger he represents to the future of our democracy and the world. He’s not just a piss poor businessman, he’s a threat to international peace, and he must be held accountable for his actions, and he wouldn’t think twice about taking down the world if he could benefit from it, or out of spite if he couldn’t.
Trump’s brand of grift, self-interest, and manipulation has no place in the modern world, especially not when global security and the survival of democracy are at stake. Let’s make sure we understand the stakes before it’s too late.
