I'm so angry. I have one question, 'What is the point of voting for a Labour Party that is as bad, if not worse than the fuckers it replaced?'. To say I'm disgusted with these careerist chancers is an understatement. In all fairness I wasn't expecting much from them, another Blairite Labour Party, emasculated from the ideological constraints of clause 4 nearly 30 years ago and heading slowly rightwards ever since.
I don't know if you are familiar with her work but my wife and I have been watching Supertanskii for years on YouTube, appreciating her sharp dystopian warnings and brutal takedowns of the establishment. We've always enjoyed her take on the world, but we stood off a bit because she was such a vocal supporter of Starmer. After Labour’s 2024 General Election victory, my wife turned to me and said, "It's not going to be pretty when she finally realises what these fuckers are capable of." And she was absolutely right, and I'm sorry to say this week it's hit Supertanskii like a brick in the face. The dystopia she warned about at the beginning of every blog is here - and it's sticking two fingers up at all of us.
We witnessed it first hand when, as a member of Jewish Voice for Labour, I saw the nasty side of the Labour Party, where principles were sacrificed, life long Labour activists fucked over, comrades made ill by the personal attacks on them and the legal threats. Through purges and the smears, dissenting voices silenced and a machine that crushed anyone who stood in its way. In return for betraying the party in 2017 when it was inches away from power under Corbyn, the Labour Party, instead of expelling people who had so clearly betrayed the voters and the members who paid subs in the hope of getting a progressive Labour Government, instead elevated them to the House of Lords.
Starmer should have been kicked out of the Party in 2019 for openly going against conference and supporting the second referendum movement, which monumentally pissed off the country and led to the Brexit Party sweeping the board the EU elections and the tory victory of 2019. In this betrayal and manipulation the Centrists threw not one but TWO fucking elections. Starmer knew very well what he was doing, a betrayer complicit in both of these was allowed to stab Corbyn in the back, take the Party and turn it into a flag shagging shadow of it's former self.
Remember when Labour’s membership card proudly stated that they were a 'democratic socialist party'? That phrase still exists in print, but it’s meaningless now: an artefact of a bygone era, a hollowed-out slogan from a party that no longer represents the working class. What exactly is democratic or socialist about a leadership that punishes its own members for daring to hold left-wing views? A leadership that wages an internal purge of socialists while embracing the policies and rhetoric of the establishment? Starmer’s Labour isn’t just failing to challenge the status quo, it is the fucking status quo - and it's proud of it.
Anyone paying even the slightest bit of attention saw this coming. The Labour Party's lurch to the right isn’t a shocking betrayal, it’s a natural evolution of a party that long ago abandoned its principles. Keir Starmer and his band of careerists have shredded any lingering pretence of democratic socialism, choosing instead to ingratiate themselves with the very forces that have ground this country into the dirt.
The purge of the left following the 2019 General Election was swift and ruthless. Labour’s leadership made it clear that socialism was no longer welcome, systematically driving out members and organisations that dared to hold onto principles of equality and justice. Jewish Voice for Labour, was summarily expelled in a Kafkaesque through-the-mirror what-the-fuckery tirade of accusations of antisemitism, a grotesque perversion of anti-racist principles designed to silence critics of Starmer’s regime. https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/uk-labour-antisemitism-accused-purging-jews-over-claims
The faux antisemitism crisis, cynically weaponised to crush the left, was laid bare by the very report Starmer hoped would exonerate his purges. The Forde Report, rather than exposing some great left-wing conspiracy, instead highlighted Labour’s institutional racism and rampant Islamophobia, an inconvenient truth that the party swiftly buried. It confirmed what many already knew: the Labour right used antisemitism not as a genuine fight against bigotry, but as a political cudgel to silence socialists and protect the establishment. Meanwhile, the very same mechanisms remain utterly indifferent to the racist abuse suffered by Black and Muslim members. Starmer’s Labour is not an anti-racist party, it is a party that picks and chooses which forms of racism are politically useful.
Also, while we are at it - let’s dispense with the absolute bullshit that Labour is "centrist." There is nothing 'moderate' about a party that enables economic cruelty, panders to xenophobia, and suppresses the voices of working people. There is nothing 'pragmatic' about embracing austerity, attacking the unemployed, or refusing to tax obscene wealth. Calling Starmer’s Labour 'centrist' is like calling a mugger 'fair-minded' because they only broke one of your legs instead of both. This is a hard-right party in everything but name, more concerned with appeasing corporate donors and the right-wing press than actually improving the lives of ordinary people. If anything, they have taken the worst elements of Blairism, stripped away any remnants of social justice, and handed us a party that is indistinguishable from the Tories at their peak.
The result? Labour is now further to the right than the Cameron government, parroting the policies of austerity and corporate servitude with a straight face. At this point, they are essentially Thatcherites with a red rosette. I despise what that fucking lying flip flopping gaslighting POS son of a toolmaker and his owners have done to a Labour Party I once so vociferously defended.
Their much-vaunted landslide in the 2024 election wasn’t a triumph of vision or leadership; it was built on a foundation of custard. Voter disillusionment with the Tories, tactical voting, and the quirks of first-past-the-post delivered them their victory, not some great wave of enthusiasm for their moribund vanilla beige platform. They won because they were the only viable alternative to an exhausted, decaying Conservative government, not because they inspired hope. And make no mistake: a Labour government that merely offers a more palatable face to neoliberalism will do nothing to address the rot at the heart of this country.
What’s worse, Labour isn’t just failing to stand up to the right, they’re actively paving the way for the worst elements of our society. They are the midwives of fascism, coddling reactionary narratives and emboldening the far-right with their feeble, cowardly policies. By embracing authoritarian rhetoric on law and order, mimicking Tory cruelty towards migrants and capitulating to corporate interests, they legitimise the same forces that will turn on them the moment it becomes convenient.
Labour’s obsession with proving their 'toughness' doesn’t neutralise the right, it strengthens it. Starmer and his pack of careerist bastards have made a political choice to be the midwives of the far-right and may very well pave the way for a Reform Government. You've been fucking warned.
Of course, it’s no mystery why Labour has taken this turn. Many of its key MPs are bankrolled by big business, private healthcare firms, and pro-Israel lobbying groups, ensuring that their policies align with corporate interests rather than the needs of ordinary people. Donations from private health companies make sure there is no real challenge to NHS privatisation, while financial backing from billionaires and corporate elites guarantees that wealth inequality remains untouched. Meanwhile, unwavering support for Israeli interests is secured not through principled foreign policy, but by the financial muscle of lobby groups that exert immense influence over Labour's direction. This is not a party led by conviction it's a party led by would be convicts, a party bought and paid for by the highest bidder. It is a party that has become morality free, empathy free and a whore to the very worst influences in society. And it's done this without a shred of shame.
And then there’s their unforgivable assault on the poor and vulnerable. Instead of reversing the decade-plus of cruelty inflicted by austerity, Labour is doubling down on the same punitive shitmuppetary. Starmer’s government has shown no appetite to challenge wealth hoarding, no desire to tax the rich, no inclination to make those responsible for this country’s decline pay their fair share. Instead, they target those already struggling: the sick, the unemployed, the marginalised. They talk about 'fiscal responsibility' while letting billionaires and corporations siphon off the wealth of the nation. It’s obscene.
After 14 years of the most catastrophic, corrupt, and incompetent governments in modern British history, the people wanted real change. What they got instead was Starmer’s 'hold my beer' moment: a Labour Party that has managed to be just as soulless and punitive as its predecessors. Now, most of the UK population finds itself politically homeless, abandoned by a mainstream that offers nothing but more of the same lumpy arse gravy the tories ladled out. And while Starmer and his ilk sneer at the left, the far right is doing what the far right does best, offering empty promises, scapegoating the vulnerable, and hoovering up the disillusioned. When the so-called 'respectable' parties are quite frankly no better, who can blame those desperate for an alternative?
Let’s be clear: this is not a Labour Party worth defending. The Party of Kier Hardie is not the party of Kier Starmer. Starmer has more in common with Thatcher and Ramsey McDonald than he does with Clement Attlee. It promised change, but the only change is the change everybody is looking for down the back of the sofa becasue they are being fucked over. It is not a party that will deliver radical change and those that thought it would be like Supertanskii have been bitterly disappointed. The very principle of democracy itself is imperilled when political parties that should have blue water between them assume identical extremist positions. Starmer's legacy is that he has turned the Labour Party into a function of state that exists to manage decline, to control the narrative, to suppress real opposition, to ensure that those in power remain comfortable. If there’s any hope left in Britain, as we've saying for some years now it does not lie within the Labour party anymore. We need to talk about destroying the Labour Party, its over. Labour as an idea is dead. And for that I can never forgive the cunts that did this.
